Chris “Jesus” Ferguson won bragging rights at Nancy Cartwright’s Monte Carlo Night. The Emmy Award winning actress, who voices Bart Simpson and many other notable characters, has hosted the event for five years to raise money for local organizations to benefit kids in Los Angeles, particularly in the north San Fernando Valley where she has also been Honorary Mayor for five consecutive years. The Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley was brought along this year to join Devonshire PALS (Police Activities League Supporters) as beneficiaries.
The last four years’ events helped to raise the funds to build a brand new youth center for at risk kids. “This is such a great event. I appreciate my celebrity and poker pro friends coming out to support the cause — Camryn Manheim, Michelle Stafford, Jamie Gold, Marsha Waggoner, Jerry Yang, Kate Linder, Anne Archer, and new friends Quinton Aaron, Annie Duke and Joe Reitman, Howard and Suzie Lederer, Kenna James, and a host of others,” said Nancy Cartwright.
Nancy and Tom Kenny (the voice of SpongeBob SquarePants) hosted the evening’s entertainment featuring country singer Nathan Osmond and others, and auctioned gifts included a John Travolta signed “Grease” poster, a basket of Kirstie Alley’s products, a basketball signed by the Lakers and donated by “Blind Side” star Quinton Aaron and even a “Simpsons” table read. The 500 guests who visited Nancy’s estate all raved about the poker, casino, food, music and fabulous people.
