Nancy Takes Over as “Chuckie” on The Rugrats – 2. July, 2002

With the recent retirement of Christine Cavanaugh, Nancy has joined the cast of The Rugrats as the voice of Chuckie, working with veterans E.G. Daily (Tommy), Cheryl Chase (Angelica) and Kath Souci (Phil/Lil).

“To try to duplicate the vocal stylings, the nuances and the ‘vocal gymnastics’ that Christine Cavanaugh created with Chuckie’s voice has presented me with the most challenging job of my entire career. I am loving this job and consider myself so fortunate to work on such a charming and well-written show,” says Nancy.

Like The Simpsons, there is no end in sight for the knee-high tikes. The Rugrats is now in its eleventh season on Nickelodeon; and the next movie, The Rugrats Meet the Thornberries, is due out in theaters May 2003.

The Kellys – 2. July, 2002

Launched in November 2001 on www.nascar.com/thekellys, The Kellys is the story of a dedicated family of professional stock car racers and their efforts to reach the winner’s circle. The problem is, Team Kelly Racing can’t win for losing. They’re underdogs for sure, and the fans know it, but love them anyways.

SportsBlast, Nancy’s own animation company, in association with Turner Sports Interactive, developed the series, which is already a big hit with stock car racing fans around the world.

Nancy plays the role of Chip Kelly, youngest son of Joe Kelly, the team’s leader and head of the headstrong Kelly clan. Chip is a total stock car racing fan that no one would be fool enough to challenge in a game of stock car racing sports trivia. He can’t wait for the day when he can really pitch in and help the team.

The Kellys has been tremendous fun. We’re very excited about how well the series has been doing, and its potential,” says Nancy. “It’s also been great to work with so many of my favorite and talented voice-actor friends.”

Currently Playing: Nancy as “Earl the Squirrel” on Timberwolf, and “Chip” on The Kellys. – 2. July, 2002

Nancy can now be seen on two new popular web animated shows, Warner Bros.’ Timberwolf and SportsBlast’s (Nancy’s own animation development and production company) The Kellys.

Timberwolf

Animation veteran Chuck Jones’ (Road Runner, Wile E. Coyote, Pepe le Pew and Michigan J. Frog) most recent and last creation is the internet animated show “Timberwolf.” Airing on www.warnerbros.com, the popular series is getting more than one million hits per week. Nancy is the voice of Earl Squirrel, playing opposite Joe Alaskey (Tweety, Daffy Duck) as Thomas Timber Wolf.

“This show is a throw-back to the classic Warner Bros. cartoons that I grew up watching. What a fantasy come true to have worked with Chuck. Again, I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to work with another master. Chuck’s grasp of art and communication is what continues to thrill and entertain all of us. His passion is what motivated him and he will be sorely missed.”

The “Official” Site! – 1. July, 2002

This is the “Official Nancy Cartwright Website.” There are no imitations, no stand-ins. You have arrived! Congratulations!

I owe so much to you, my fans, and that is why I have this site. Take your “mouse” on a field trip by skimming through the different areas: Frequently Asked Questions, Bio, Character Gallery, and Character Voices. I had so much fun putting this together. Jeez, you would have gotten a kick out of watching me try to remember what Gloria sounded like on “Richie Rich.” That was the very first professional voice-acting job I had. It was at Hanna-Barbera in 1981!! Most of you probably weren’t even born yet! Now, a couple decades and thousands of shows later, this site will give you a very clear idea of who I am and what I love to do. AND HEY, LET’S HEAR IT FOR THE SIMPSONS!!!! (more…)

Way to go, man! – 4. May, 2002

If this is your first visit to the “Official Nancy Cartwright Website,” as a certain 10-year-old-spiky-headed-miscreant would say, “Way to go, man!” And if this site is one of your “Favorites,” there has been a LOT going on since last month, so read on!

One of the coolest things about being a “celebrity” is that I get invited to attend and sometimes participate in charity auctions and fund-raisers. (more…)
