Well, the best show on television is still The Simpsons according to The Academy of TV Arts and Sciences. (Rufus, from Kim Possible, is a bit miffed but, and we think he responded to the knews, “Wait till next year!” But with Rufus you can never really be sure.)

This year The Simpsons won the Emmy for Animated Program (One Hour or Less) for “Three Gays of the Condo.” This Award was given out in a separate, earlier, ceremony that doesn’t get all the hoopla of the red carpet Emmys but it is a big deal to the long list of winners. Basically, there are just too many well-deserved awards to cram into one evening and not enough space on stage for 14 recipients!

Also, the phenomenally talented Alf Clausen (music), Ian Maxtone-Graham and Ken Keeler (lyrics) were nominated in the Music & Lyrics (i.e. Original Song) category for “Everybody Hates Ned Flanders” from “Dude, Where’s My Ranch?”. And we can never neglect the dynamic work of Hank Azaria. Hank, the voice of Moe, Apu, Comic Book Guy, Chief Wiggum and several other regular Simpsons characters, won the voice-over Emmy for his performance in the 14th season episode “”Moe Baby Blues.”" This was a Jury Award in a category basically created, originally in 1992, to acknowledge the work of The Simpsons cast because there just wasn’t a category to acknowledge the “unseen” voice in Hollywood.
