Nancy was recently invited to Pixar Studios to give her introductory lecture to the staff of artists, designers and computer “tekkies”. Director Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo) was a gracious host, taking Nancy, her assistant Janelle Hynes and her agent Marcia Hurwitz (Innovative Artists) on a full-scale tour of the studio.
“I find it difficult,” said Nancy, “imagining where else I would want to work besides in a studio doing the voices for animation, but after visiting Pixar, I’ve reconsidered! Pixar isn’t just a studio that creates aesthetics and positive messages for all ages with animation. It is also a center for revitalizing the art form itself—helping to catapult animation into this new century with all the bells and whistles that make it fun.”
