On March 11th, Nancy traveled to Englewood, Colorado, to deliver the keynote speech at St. Mary’s Academy’s fifth annual leadership conference for girls.
The conference addressed girls grades 7-12 who are starting to look toward their futures.
Of all the speaking engagements that Nancy participates in, this type is her absolute favorite, and the people at St. Mary’s were wonderful to work with.
Nancy addressed 200 girls and their parents about her own experience and career path, one that began back when she was their age and continues evolving to this day.
As an added bonus, Nancy discovered that an “old friend” she met in her teens at WING radio was in the area. Anne Schwebel (now Diamond), the woman from Warner Bros. who gave Nancy her first “break” by providing contact information to voice acting legend Daws Butler, lived right there in Englewood!
Nancy was thrilled to have the opportunity to invite Anne and her daughter Emily to the conference, where she finally got the chance to publicly acknowledge her for being true to her word, and writing with some solid advice to a girl in Ohio who had dreams of some day voice acting in Hollywood.
