Nancy with Lifetime Acheivement Award recipient Phil Roman

On an evening when many guest speakers playfully punctuated their award giving with multiple “Fs,” Nancy had the pleasure of presenting the annual IFF Fritz Freiling award to Phil Roman.   “It’s always fun to give an award to a true friend and Phil had so much to do how our industry has grown.”

Mr. Roman was honored for his groundbreaking work as an animator and producer.

The IFF, an annual Festival, solicits, screens and fetes family-friendly films from around the globe. Festival Executive Producer, Chris Shoemaker, has put together a truly useful organization to champion films that speak to the complexity of the human condition but are also generally appropriate for children.

Presenters joining Nancy included Dee Wallace Stone, star of the motion picture ET, and our hostess for the evening, Tara Honeywell, a voice-actress and theatre-trained actress who has performed in over 50 productions across the U.S.

“I really love this Festival,” said Nancy.  “We’re going to get more involved next year.”
