On November 1st the faculty and staff of Cal State University Northridge along with supporters and community enthusiasts were invited to attend a free “tuning” of the new Valley Performing Arts Center’s main stage. 3rd Annual Children’s Day Just Around the Corner – 21. October, 2010
It’s nearly November, and for the third year in a row, that means Children’s Day and a chance to celebrate our local children. Join Nancy and the Happy House team at Woodley Park in the San Fernando Valley on Saturday, November 20th from 8 AM to 4 PM. There will be carnival rides, games, music, food, a petting zoo, climbing wall and a ton more. The event will, once again, be sponsored by Radio Disney, so bring the whole family for a celebration of children. (more…)
The Children of Migrant Workers Learn Good Choices – 14. September, 2010
Friday August 20th was graduation day for more than seventy children ranging in age from 9 – 18 who completed the Happy House Good Choices Program through Migrant Workers Education run by the Los Angeles Unified School District. Bring Out the Denim and Diamonds – 14. September, 2010
Once again, more than 500 guests will swarm Nancy’s Northridge “house that Bart built” decked out in Denim and Diamonds for the 5th annual Monte Carlo Night. This year, Cartwright Entertainment has added the Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley as an additional beneficiary. The last four years’ fundraising efforts helped to raise money for the building of the Councilman Greig Smith LAPD Devonshire PALS Youth Center. Devonshire PALS (Police Activities League Supporters) will again be a beneficiary to support many of the programs at the Center. (more…)
Nancy Supports Teenage Drama Workshop at CSUN – 26. August, 2010
Cal State Northridge is producing and hosting, under the Direction of CSUN faculty veteran Doug Kaback, the 53rd season of the Teenage Drama Workshop. For the second consecutive year Nancy helped out by donating to the student Scholarship Fund. (more…)
