The Kids Are the Real Winners!
PALS Teen Council Graduation – 5. May, 2010
One of my fabulous volunteers of Happy House, Carol Loweree, and I have been working with the Teen Council of the Police Activities League local youth center in the Devonshire District of my neighborhood. Seven of the kids recently completed the entire 21-chapters of the Good Choices program that presents simple concepts for making better decisions in their lives. From “Setting a Good Example” to “Respect the Religious Beliefs of Others” to “Be Faithful” and “Flourish and Prosper”, the program not only helps the teens to understand the differences between right and wrong, but also provides practical application so they can demonstrate their understanding.
We are very proud to present this graduating class to the PALS Board of Directors, who supports this program as one of the many programs offered at the youth center.
