I was recently invited to be the Grand Marshall at a very touching and honorable event in Phoenix, the annual Veterans’ Day Parade. It is a long-standing tradition and has become the 5th largest parade of its kind. I was pleased to be able to join the celebration to honor our vets on that Veteran’s Day. (more…)

I am so proud of my sponsorship of the new Valley Performing Arts Center at CSUN. On September 10, I went to the opening and dedication of the Porter Pavilion prior to the Arturo Sandoval concert at the VPAC, another amazing performance in their 2011 season schedule. (more…)
Nancy Dances for Charity – 28. September, 2011
One of my dreams is to be a contestant on Dancing With The Stars. You shoulda seen my face last Friday…on stage…surrounded by hundreds of people…in my glorious ballroom gown…done up like a showgirl on opening night!!
Okay, so it wasn’t the hit ABC television show, but rather a fundraiser for The Valley Cultural Center! Dancing with our Valley Stars. I competed with 4 other community leaders of the San Fernando Valley to raise funds for this amazing program that provides movies in the park, music, dance and visual arts programs for kids and seniors alike. Nancy a Finalist for the Fernando Award – 21. June, 2011
Nancy Cartwright was honored to attend the finalist selection luncheon for the 2011 Fernando Awards held at the Hilton Hotel in Woodland Hills on Friday, June 17th. First awarded in 1959, The Fernando Award is the highest honor for volunteerism in the San Fernando Valley and is supported by the Valley Chambers of Commerce as well as civic and philanthropic organizations. Happy House Poker Fundraiser a Huge Success – 3. June, 2011
The 6th annual Happy House Poker Fundraiser and Family BBQ at Nancy Cartwright’s home was the largest ever. One hundred and forty Texas Hold ‘Em players faced off poolside while at least an equal number of non-players and children enjoyed family fun including face painting, a bouncy house and water slide, bingo, ping pong and a wide array of arts and crafts.
