I had the most incredible evening last Friday at the Jon Lovitz Comedy Club at Universal CityWalk. The ever-ebulient Rob Paulsen (Yakko) hosted an evening dedicated to the award-winning series, Animaniacs. Joining him onstage were Jess Harnell (Wakko) and Tress MacNeille (Dot). I didn’t know what to expect when I arrived with a couple of friends, but by the time we left, I had not only been totally “wow’d” by the performances of the above mentioned voice-actors, but joined in with the packed-house with singing some of the hit songs and reminiscing with them some of the stories and fun anecdotes while working on the show.

As the voice of Mindy, the 2-year-old baby with her dog, Buttons, I was only in 20 percent of the shows; however, clearly the significance of this show has established it as one of the “classics” and I love that I had such a memorable part in it.

Joining me in the audience were producers, writers, musicians and other voice-actors, including Maurice LaMarche, Kevin Michael Richardson and John Mariano.

And with a gurgle and a burp, I give a big hug to everyone associated with this amazing show—especially my mom: “I love you, lady. Bye-bye.”
